PROJECT RECAST
Project Recast will standardise our operations across all the territories in which we operate. This will include the re-engineering of our technological platform and the revamping of our processes to reduce customer waiting time and bring new and innovative products to market more quickly.
REACHING OUT TO OUR COMUNITIES
The RBTT objective of providing exceptional financial services has always been accompanied by a sense of social and community responsibility. Our approach to community building is guided by strategic interventions in youth development and the improvement of leadership capability, geared to facilitate sustainable growth and wealth creation.
Young Leaders is our flagship youth development programme and has received many local, regional and international awards including 10 Commonwealth Awards and the UNDO Roll of Honour 500. Its focus is community activity and development and encourages students to demonstrate care for their communities by helping others in need.
Hundreds of secondary school students participate in the Young Leaders programme annually, and the programme continues to evolve. In 2002, for instance, the Young Leaders Debates were introduced. The objective of this phase of our programme is to engage youth in intellectual debate and improve the level of dialogue in society.
St. Michael’s School for Boys: In 2007, we launched a three-year programme geared toward transforming the learning environment at the school and residence for abused, troubled and displaced boys. RBTT Bank not only donated computers to the institution but also provided computer training for the students and teachers, and introduced educational software to facilitate the boys’ learning.
The initiative, driven by the concepts of sustainability and building human capacity, was deemed critical in providing the boys with an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to society.
Education Foundation: RBTT is also widely recognised for its efforts in education. The RBTT Education Foundation, founded specifically for the advancement of education in Trinidad and Tobago, has been contributing to the academic development of youth across the country since 1977. Over the years, the Foundation has assisted several individuals, schools and other educational institutions at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
